Take her to the vet! You're risking an infection! Don't use super glue just take her to the vet and have take care of it!
Duct-Tape. or you can duct-tape a diaper on him.
Put an Elizabethan collar on her. They run about $12 at PetSmart. She won't be able to reach the wound which will give it time to heal. Make sure you use a hot compress on the wound twice a day now that it has been opened. You just run a (clean) washcloth in hot water and put it on the wound for a few minutes. This encourages faster healing and will make sure that she doesn't get an infection.
She needs sutures to keep it closed. Seh could develop a horrible infection if it stays open, leading to even higher vet bills, so go get it done right once. You wont regret it later.
tell the Vet to use stitches, not glue.
honestly, you have to keep the head gear on him, you should never of taken it off. I haven't met a dog yet that likes the thing, but it is there for a reason, as you have been experiencing.
Your vet should have given her stitches the first time the glue came off! Don't let them charge you anymore. Make them put in stitches free of charge.
Don't try to glue it yourself. It could make your dog sick or trap an infection in there.
have them put staples in it.and if she doesn't move with the lamp shade on then so be it.it's better than her getting a systemic infection and dying.
um idk what put this question in the pets catorgorty
Which is worse,an open wound or a dog that won't move for 3hours?
Keep the Elizabethan collar on her and though she will pout and not want to move, she will after awhile once she realizes that you aren't going to take the collar off.(What's it going to hurt if she doesn't move for a short period of time? She could probably use the rest after all they work she has been doing to get the surgical glue.)
I am not too sure about the super glue idea,I always worry about the "toxians" that might be absorbed by the body.
When all else fails, the Dr can use staples or sutures.
