How to pass stools with hemorrhoids?

Question:
I recently found out that I have an internal hemorrhoid and now I am consipated without having a bowel movement for 4 days due to the pain associated with passing them. I was wondering if stool softeners help soften the stool that is, well, first in line to pass. If not what are some ways to alleviate the pain associated with passing stool? I am already on hydrocortizone suppositories and stool softeners.

Answers:
Hmm, I see what you are asking and that is a good question. I really feel for you as well. Childbirth gave me some of those(external) and they took several years to go away. I would call your dr asap so you dont prolong your suffering. Maybe a, uh, what the heck is it called...the water with the hose you can buy at the store to help you go... Why cant I think of the name?

Worst case scenario...this is gonna sound bad...oh Lord. How close is it to...coming out? You may want to put on a latex glove and poke around to see if you can help get it out... I know, I know, but after four days of suffering sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do...to "do" what you gotta "do".
she was looking for Enema, and every thing else is right, good luck
