switched from albuterol to levalbuterol?work as good?

Question:

Answers:
Funny you ask. The marketing of levalbuterol would say that it works just as well as albuterol without the side effects. This is because levalbuterol is albuterol with only the biologically active (levo-) isomers (all molecules occur in levo- and dextro- forms, the two forms are mirror images of eachother). The theory is that the shakiness and increased heart rate caused by albuterol will be less of a problem with levalbuterol. In reality, there is not much of a difference in any study, and it is almost never worth the difference in price (levalbuterol is MUCH more expensive).
