What's causing my right eye to twitch?
Question:
Answers:
there's an obstruction on the nerves that causes your eyes to function abnormally
Magnesium is suppose to help twitching and spasms.
i get that with unacknowledged stress. its like the upper lid pinches in a bit. harmless.
My left eye twitches every now and then. but it hasn't twitched in a long time. I believe it has something to do with the nervous system. Like when your leg will twitch or your hand or somthing. I don't believe it has anything to do with nearsightedness, although i do also have this condition.
Some causes are fatigue, squinting a lot, consuming too much caffeine, or working in a less than ideal visual environment, e.g., staring at a computer screens for long periods of time. Just like a muscle spasm at any other part of the body, an eye twitch can mean you've taxed your muscles and need to relax them.
At home treatments that may help include hot baths, warm or cold compresses, rinsing your eyes out with warm water, or administrating eye drops.
stress, I had this a few months ago, it eventually goes away if you reduce your stress
I have the same problem with my left eye. Awhile ago it was real bad. And I asked this nurse works in the community she said it has to do with stress. And believe it or not I was moved from this area where I worked and the supervisor I had was giving me so much freaking grief it wasn't funny. Then it went away but to only come back when I finally communicated with my unit that it would be in the best interest of my family and the army to separate me. Again it went away to come back but not as bad when I come to realized I have no where to leave, no money and no job once I get out with my baby.

It's called a benign fasciculation. It's no big deal and nothing to worry about. I get that quite often.
