How to treat peeling sunburn?

Question:
OUCH! I was out in the sun from 12-3:30 four days ago (I did use SPF30 sunscreen twice) and I am terribly burned on my neck/chest. I also got burned a little on my feet, but that went away. Now the burn is peeling, and hurts so bad. I have used Banana Boat Aloe Gel, which provides temporary relief, but I just want the burn and the peel to go away!! I have also used a moisturizing lotion to make it feel better, which also provided temporary relief. I was outside a little more today, and I was applying sunscreen to my face. I put a little bit on the burned area, and I was almost crying it hurt so bad. There was probably some type of alcohol in it.

Well, okay, can someone please help?! An easy way to get rid of a peeling sunburn, QUICK!

I put this question in the "Injury" catagory, but I'm not sure if that was right!

Thanks so much. 10 points to the one who gets my sunburn gone!

Answers:
You do not want to interfere with the peeling process. The skin that is coming off is dead and toxic to new skin. moisturize the new skin with something containing aloe or something like Vaseline intensive care. Take ibuprofen or tylenol for your pain. standard healing time will be 1 wk to 10 days. avoid direct sunlight until heeled.

Ok first go to the drug store and buy something for sun burns. Usually these products are mostly aloe and are to be kept in the fridge to keep it kool when you put it on. Apply this according to the instructions on the bottle.

all i can say from experience (i live in florida) is to wear light shirt and use aloe and moisturizier. let it heel
