what is the definitive practice for cleaning external fixator pin sites?

Essentially, you need to clean it every day. I am not sure the peroxide is necessary. Some people suggest chlorhexidine or betadine (iodine based), and others say that straight saline is quite safe.

These guys want 50% peroxide, 50% saline mix and describe in detail.
