specialist to set a broken humerous for an uninsured person?

Question:
A friend of my son has broken his arm he was advised by Parland that it needed to be set by a specialist, and they could not get him an appointment any sooner than the 28th June, he has no insurance, any suggestions

Answers:
Does he have a job? If not he could apply for state assistance especially if he has children. Also ask him to get in touch with his local vocational rehabilitation. They will train him for a job and in turn either help him get state assistance or pay for his treatment. Also have him talk to the surgeon's office to see if they have a financial assistance program. Oh and if he went to an emergency room they should assign an orthopaedic to him that he will see. This orthopaedic should not deny him treatment regardless if he can or can't pay.
