quit smoking 4 months ago still get cravings can i use lozengers nickorette when i get the craving?

Question:

Answers:
If you quit smoking 4 months ago, there is absolutely no reason to reintroduce nicotine into your system. In fact, it would be counterproductive to efforts to stay off cigarettes.

I have been off cigarettes for more than 2-1/2 years and I still have cravings, and I will probably have them for a long time.

But they pass quickly when they occur, and they are the price to pay for having been addicted.

Don't put nicotine back in your system.

Other Answers:
Certainly, if its going to prevent a craving and keep you off cigs by all means have a lozenge whenever you need one.
Got to be better than taking another ciggy.
The cravings will never completely go away. However, using the lozenges or gum can be helpful at those times, just in case you do pick up a pack of cigarettes and have to start quitting all over again. Congrats on quitting!
you still have an adiction to the niccoteen, try sucking regular mints instead or something. If your not still psicaly adicticed then its all in your heard and you need to just find something else to fixate on.
I quit smoking in 1988 and i still get cravings. They dont last long but i still get them
I have suggested to friends automatically become a non smoker,
so if anyone askes you to smoke it does not sound like a chore and you wont have negative responses eg; I tried thet but it is not worth it. start on chewing gum (extra) it gives your mouth something to do.
I smoked for over ten years and quit smoking 3 years ago! Havent had a single craving ever since and hate the smell now!!

There are soo many ways of how to stop smoking but everyone is different, so its not always going to work just because it worked for someone else!

Give the nicorette gums a try, if that doesnt work, then try cutting down your daily intake for 40 a day for a month, then next month down to 20 a day...until you end up buying packs of 10s instead of 20s!
