Are you in control of YOUR television viewing? Do you skip outings if they clash with your favourite show?

Question:
Do you end up spending too many hours in front of your television every day/weekend?.Recently published a scientific study with evidence that people who watch more television are likely to be less active. Apparently, every hour of television watched daily means you are 47 per cent more likely to miss out on normal exercise!

Answers:
I never watch television during the day. However in the evening, I like to watch C.S.I., Dateline, and the late show with Jay Leno, then the late late show with Craig Fergusson because they make me laugh before retiring for the night. I believe I am in control because I never cancel an outing to wach any program

Other Answers:
Sure, am in control of TV (but not the yahoo questions....)

Plus watching TV makes people eat more junk food and gain 10 pounds due to the ads & suggestions about eating.
I never schedule anything around TV. I don't watch it very often. There are a couple of channels I like (TLC, Animal Planet) that I can turn on almost anytime I want to watch a little.
Unfortunatly, I do spend WAY too much time on the Internet!
Yes I do and I like it ., my excerciseis not coming in the way of my watching television or vice versa
It use to be that I was a television slave, now I am an Internet slave. I always win at the television trivia games. No more. I don't watch the sit-com's, the games, the soaps, the news.....I do look forward to HOUSE. If I miss it, I miss it. I am not going to re-arrange my schedule for a television show any more. So yes I do get my exercise now, which includes the fact that I have a job that I sit on my butt all day every day.
