I'm gonna assume you are female. A pelvic exam is nothing to worry about. The doctor will usually put your feet up in the stirrups so your legs are spread out and then insert his finger in your vagina and feel around and if you are having a pap smear also, he will insert something to take a sample and you might feel a pinch inside your body. Some doctors will also insert a finger into your rectum and feel for stuff there, but it is quick. The worst is if the doctor wants to talk to you while he is doing the exam. I don't want to talk !!!!!!! Get your head out of my crotch and then we will talk about the weather. Its hard to think of something pleasant to say to someone who is staring at your private parts. Just keep telling yourself..it will all be over in a few minutes...and then go have some ice cream..you deserve it.
