lump on wrist?

Question:
I have two lumps on my hand. One moves when I moves my middle finger and the other stays still. They are reall close to each other. Sometimes they hurt but not all the time. Any ideas what they might be?

Answers:
My husband once had something like that called a ganglean cyst, or something like that. The doctor can either inject cortizone or something like that into it and it will go away quickly, or he joked you can slam something heavy on it. Sometimes it will go away on its own, with time. His hurt on and off like yours, so he opted for the shot. It worked. Good luck! (SEe your doctor before you chose the slamming method! hehe)

They're air pockets, I have them too. They're most visible when I press on my palm.
Could be a lot of things... benign tumor, wart, infection, I would have the doctor check it out. They may need to get taken off.
Yes, they are pockets called ganglion cysts that sometimes develop when you play sports or injure your wrist. Eventually they will get smaller and disappear. If they are not painful or causing your to lose movement, just leave them alone and they'll go away. I use to get those from playing volley ball. Look up "ganglion cyst" on line for more info.
I used to have one on my hand, it went away eventually, but it could be a cyst. I would get them looked at asap. Good luck.
Other than your knuckle, I don't know. Sorry.
I don't know what it is, but you should go see a doctor!!!
smash them with a heavy book
It could be as harmless as a cebacious cyst. Or it could be something more serious. I would have it checked out next time you are at the doctor's office.
better consult doctor. we do not know if it is a tumor, or just a lipid lump.

when i was working part time in a primary school as teacher, a teacher there also had the same problem. she some how got a lipid lump near the vein. her leg/foot goes numb suddently. doc says the lipid lump too near to the neuron and affect the neuron, that's you her leg always numb. she had a minor operation and got rid of it.
you didn't say which side of the hand, but cysts fluid filled little balls are common in the lining sheaths of tendons. some need surgery & some go away on own & some respond to injections.
they can be created by overuse, like excessive typing on yahoo questions...................
search under 'ganglion cysts' & see if that's what you have.

Good luck.
Best to have it checked out. It could well be something harmless, like a ganglion cyst, or could be from a "Cumulative Trauma" or repetative motion injury. If from too much typing, take a break and stretch each hour, or earlier if needed.
theres a song about ganglion's try looking it up on the internet and you will know your not alone in having them. They can be removed or drained.
