i hurt all the time my back down my left leg sometimes right leg what is it ,i wake up hurting .?

Question:
sometimes the pain shoots from my back down my leg ,

Answers:
Could possibly be sciatica, which is not an inflammation of the sciatic nerve, but a problem with the muscle(s) in the area around the nerve (could be a tight muscle, no inflammation present). The shooting pain is a classic symptom. Possibly subluxation of L5 vertebrae or SI joint. I would check with a chiropractor and/or see a massage therapist. Of course, it's impossible to know since I can't see you or talk to you, nor can I diagnose because I am not a doctor. I can only take a stab at some possibilities from what you've said.
