what is the sign of fractureof hip?Is it adduction or abduction?

Question:
IT is a medical question? and a medicalpractioner can answer this well?

Answers:
Intracapsular fracture neck of femur causes lateral rotation of lower limb by 45 degrees.Extracapsular fracture neck of femur causes lateral rotation by 90 degrees.Posterior dislocation of hip causes flexion, adduction, and medial rotation.Anterior dislocation of hip causesflexion, adduction and lateral rotation.

Other Answers:
Usually shortening of the affected leg, and external rotation. Adduction/abduction are not really a feature, but I would say there may be a slight adduction as a result of the unopposed pull of the adductor group of muscles.
I crashed on my bike last year...bad crash...

In the emergency room, after they cut off all the bloody clothes, they pressed directly down (I was on my back) on my hipbone to detect if there was any shift or pain. There was none. They said that if the hip/pelvis had been broken, that would have been excruciating. Later they x-rayed me, but x rays said the same thing. Hip was fine.
