persistent cough , after gettng cold?

Question: i always have a bout of cough that last anything between 3 weeks to 2 months after getting a cold . it can pain my abdomen muscles due to the intensity of the cough . i felt from within some sort of difficulty in breathing and allergy and cough it out and then it becomes okay ...pleghm is not reducing desptite a dose of expectorant like mucinex.
when i take deep breath / exhale sometimes i feel like coughing ...
what is this problem ? i get this always after a cold . please ask me for more details

sounds like you need to see a doctor
if you have a persistant cough after a cold it could possibly be down to a virus which you haven't shaken off but could be something a bit more sinister.
your best bet is a doctors, explain the problem ans symptoms properly and i would expect tests for TB and maybe an xray
do you smoke?

this cold be early stages of CHRONIC BRONCHITIS if you are a heavy smoker.
