well if it is a pain just in that area it can be due to a digestive problem as reflux... or it can be caused by a shock... and it will disappear.
however if the pain is correlated with left hand pain and back pain you should be aware of a heart arrest...
you could of pulled some muscles and if you can take some typenol or ibuprofin and lay down with a hot wash cloth on your rib cage or heating pad give it 2 days if it doesnt seem better go to the ER to get an x-ray to see if you cracked a rib or have a hairline fracture feel better

Try prilosec or pepcid if this doesnt work, see your doctor. It could be gall bladder or gall stones. I had a bad pain in my chest under my breast and had gall stones in my valve duct. It seemed to hurt worse when I was walking. Doctors found it right away with an ultra sound. Good luck!
