I have been on pain meds for the last 18 years,and all of a sudden, my dr. will not give them to me anymore.?

My question is; why would a doctor keep you on pain pills for 18 years.. was a diagnosis never made? You are most surely addicted at this time. May want to pursue this matter a bit further.

You should go see a different doctor.

Ask him. I know that since the advent of HMOs health care has been anything but. Meanwhile, find out why you're in pain and get that treated, instead of just hiding the symptom.
