i've got marks on my arm & hand from when i selfharmed 9 months ago?

Question:
do u think that i will have them forever or will they go?

Answers:
Treat them like any other scar. You can get the cream Mederma, which is made to reduce the look of scars and soften the scar tissue, or you can get some cocoa butter, which I have found to work just as well. Although they may look better after having some sun, in the long run this won't help the marks fade, and may make them worse.

Other Answers:
most scars are forever .
it depends, mostly on how extreme the cuts were [width/depth] - it's just like any other scar. Neosporin is your friend. ^_^
they take a while to dissapear. i saw a kid in school who has marks on his wrists and he cut himself a long time ago, but hes fine now. and im not kidding about the marks on his arm.
i still have them on my arm from when i was 17, now i'm 22. it just depends on how you did it, and how deep the injury was, and well you cared for it during the healing process.

most of my self harm scars have faded or disappeared. the only ones that are still very visible are the ones i picked at while they were healing. they are now 8 very white, raised, scarred lines, that i doubt will ever disappear.
yes,but look at tham as a reminder that things are looking up and if you start to feel the need to start abusing yourself to get help with it.good luck and i hope you have a happy life
dont think about it you will get depressed think nice thought's instead and change you way of life. good luck
that rather depends on your skin type and how deep the scars are..hopefully the scars will stay long enough to remind you to never attempt self-harm again..nothing is worth that..Peace.
They'll fade, don't worry.
I've stil got scars from when i started, four years ago. If they are white, it means it's deep tussie and it's scar tussie. They will not go. If they are red or pink, they'll goo just give them time. Best of luck to you.
