Tell me if you think this is a good idea or a bad one. Please explain your reasoning, if possible. Be serious

Question:
A surgical procedure that would connect one end of a gold or stainless steel or titanium one-way valve to the appendix and position the other end of the valve outside the body. Then in cases of constipation, a connection could be made to a water source and Voila!!, instant satisfying BM.

Answers:
Why the appendix? What would the water do, flush it out? And they would most likely use Gortex instead of gold, stainless steel or titanium. What would happen when you get a infection in your body from haveing a open wound as the valve outside the body? That would be not a good idea at all.

Other Answers:
Crazy, people would contract infections and die, very rapidly.
I think it's already been invented. It's called a colostomy bag. And the appendix doesn't do anything anyway, so putting a drainpipe in it wouldn't help.
I'm sorry you are so constipated that you have thought of such a thing. Sounds painful to me. It is better just to eat more fiber.
odd...don't think it will work.
Good for a robot...maybe
This seems to be a bad idea as it would create major hygeine problems and is also potentially hazardous in terms of being caught and ripped when a person is dressing or undressing.
Bad idea, It is thought out except how are you going to stop infection? Also BM comes from the large and small intestine so why the appendix? And lack of Bm are usually a sign of disease so you would loose that and diseases could go undetected. They already have bags to the bowels that take care of BM issues.
No this is not a good idea. Infection, man, infection. I don't have a medical degree, but I don't need one to know that this is a crackpot idea.
Connecting to your appendix will do nothing for peristalsis in your intestines, and drinking water provides the same liquid for your purpose. So, I say it is a bad idea. If you really want water pushed into your intestines, get an enema.
What ever happened to a good old fashioned 2 quart bag of hot soapy water?
