You can appeal directly to the hospital. My mother worked her whole life, and had insurance through her job, but when she had to retire at 62 (long story, but she couldn't keep working) she needed to purchase health insurance on her own. She could not get anyone to sell her insurance! Here's a woman who has contributed to society her whole life, interested in buying private insurance and NOBODY would sell it to her because she had been treated for skin cancer 10 years prior! She needed medical attention and finally had to appeal to the hospital to see if there was anything they could do. They took her Social Security income into account and determined they could treat her under one of their programs for free. I would suggest that as a first step. If they cannot help you, ask them if they are aware of anywhere you could turn-they may know of someplace. Good luck!
Maybe you can get duel citizenship with Canada.
