I am SO tired! Help!?

Question:
I am always sooo tired. I go to bed at around 1-1:30am. I wake up at around 8:15am. Then when I get out of the shower, I never fail to fall asleep on my bed in my towel for about an hour. No matter what I do, I somehow cannot control this. I feel as though I could fall asleep on my way to work every single day. Now I am at work & I am struggling to keep my eyes open. Any tips on how to stay awake & get energized.

Also, on weekend. I cannot help but wake up exactly 12 hours after I fall asleep. (if I go to bed at 4am, I will wake up 4pm the next day, or later!)

Does this sound like I have some sort of sleeping order??

Sorry about all the details, but I really need info.

Answers:
For starters, seven hours of sleep is not enough. Is there a reason why you can't get to bed before 1am? If you can afford to fall asleep after your shower for an hour, why not just sleep an hour later? This may eliminate some of it. Adults typically need 8-9 hours of sleep. As for the weekends, 12 hours of sleep may be a source of some of it.....too much sleep can make you as tired as too little sleep. Your body never catches up on sleep it loses, so your body isn't "catching up" on the weekends. Find a more regular sleep schedule, exercise and eat healthy. If changing all of this doesn't make a significant difference, see your doctor. I think that may be unnecessary, though.
I would make an appointment with a doctor have it checked out.
