I have a cast on my arm and someone pushed me in a pool. it comes off in 2wks.Is that bad for my skin?

Question:
I feel its still damp. should i call my doctor and tell him i need a new one or wait out the 2 weeks?

Answers:
.You need to go back to the hospital for a new one. Apart from the fact that the plaster cast will have softened, your arm will become infected and the smell will be putrid.

Just think what your finger is like when you remove a plaster that has been on for a few days, it goes white and wrinkled. Now imagine it after having been kept damp for two weeks without any air getting to it!
Don't leave it, go back for a new one as soon as possible.

Other Answers:
i think u should talk to ur doc.moisture in that area since it is tightly covered could possibly lead to a rash or infection..and im sure its gonna start to get a smell if u didnt dry it out properly
No
Go get a new one, when I broke my foot my cast got damp and I just left it alone; when they took it off it was all moldy inside. EWWWW! Trust me, you don't want that. It was pretty nasty.
