white stuff on baby's penis at circumcision site?

Question:
My son was born 5 weeks premature and therefore wasn't circumcised until 6 weeks. I'm not posting to hear criticism about my decision to circumcise (what's done is done). My question is, "What is this white stuff that's stuck to my son's penis?" It's at the top of the shaft where the foreskin was cut back to and also looks like it might be just a little bit red. He's now 3 months old and didn't have any complications following the procedure. I have a doctors appointment scheduled, but in the meantime I'd like to find out as much as possible. Is this normal? Can I wash it off in the bath? Thanks for your help!

smega,, a kind of cheese

check to see if it is infection, if it is, go see the doctor to treat it, it probably is, but wash it with warm water and soap first Sounds like a possible infection, the redness and discharge you see are common signs of infection. try washing the area with boiled salt water, obviously let it cool first.
