Massaging is a thearapy option in vogue now. what are the advantages and disadvantages?

Question:
The different massaging equipement and facilities in circulation, what are their advantages or disadvantages to our health and wellbeing

Answers:
The advantages relate to getting tense or hurt muscles massaged to make them relax. It is a sound science and if you go to someone who is a duly recongized professional, the down sides are not as significant. (Some people in the phone book specialize in erotic massage. I am not talking about them!)
The disadvantages relate to
-not drinking some water when they get done, you can feel nausea because of all the toxins that are released from tense muscles.
-providing treatment to people with surgery where metal has been introduced (ultrasound makes the area with metal burn)
-providing treatment to people who are on blood thinners. The massaging motion causes redness of the skin.
-providing treatment to people who have cancer or infection in the area being massaged.

Other Answers:
There are more advantages than disadvantages. A big advantage is the alternative to taking prescription drugs. By receiving a massage you can help your body to help itself, without ingesting any drugs. Today's world is revolving on new drugs, and that everything and anything can be cured or managed by taking a simple pill. What people don't realize is your body can be harmed by all the unecessary drug intake, which makes the alternative of massage therapy a good place to start. Massage therapy has shown to help with cancer patients, ADHD, sport's injuries, and stress, among some. Another advantage is that insurance companies are now covering some massage therapy as a form of treatment. The only disadvantage I can think of is out-of-pocket expense, because it is not cheap depending where you live.
