Does anybody know how close to a next dose can you take a missed dose?
Question:
Answers:
If you miss a dose of medication (especially if it's an antibiotic) you should take another dose right away and then "recycle" your dosage schedule. For example, let's say you were supposed to take your meds every six hours and you missed the dose at noon. It's now 4:00. Take a dose and wait six hours to take the next one. DO NOT take a dose two hours later to get back on your original schedule -- that can cause more problems. If you need to, you can usually get away with adjusting your dosage schedule by one hour (earlier or later) if you must get back on your original schedule.
depending on the drug! some drugs suggests that you double the next dose if you missed a dose!
