I get motion sickness that causes diarrhea. Any suggestions on what to take for this?

Question:
For most of my life I have had motion sickness, especially if I drive long distances. This causes me to get diarrhea instead of the typical nausea that motion sickness causes. I take Bonine for motion sickness, and it works sometimes, but it doesn't prevent diarrhea most of the time. Can you suggest another product or home remedy that I can take before I drive to prevent the diarrhea?

Answers:
Ginger is great for motion sickness. I'm not sure why but it works.

can't you get mechlazine over the counter now... i think that's how you spell it... phonetically anyway.
my wife takes it, but i don't know about the diarrhea. I would think if you prevented the vertigo, you would prevent that, but maybe it's the medicine causing the diarrhea.
u can take aispiran. my grandfather had it too. and he took these and now he is perfectly fine.
Stemital is a drug used for motion and travel sickness, see your gp and get a script or speak to your chemist.
