I broke my foot four years ago and I am wondering if I am at greater risk of developing arthritis in my foot?

Question: I broke my foot four years ago. Over the past few months it has begun to stiffen on certain days. At times it is very difficult to walk. I am wondering if previously broken bones have a greater risk of arthritis?

Answers:
I'm not a doctor, but I can tell you from my experience that yes, you could. I broke my fingers on one hand in a fight about 15 years ago. now I have arthritis in that hand so bad it hurts to bend it. I live off of aleve. food for thought anyhow.
