My grandmother has a leg pain what could it be?
Question:
1. From an Emergency Room doctor we hear Gall Bladder and sprained back.
2. physician says not the gal bladder give 2 weeks for the sprain to heal and for her to get back to normal.
3.Now no back pain but she carry's her left leg exactly like House and is on pain pills. :-( (Like I said no insurance.)
Could this be what House had an Infarction? (From what I gather the leg pain was after Stacey had the doctors do a surgery against his consent resulting in the now leg pain.)
Answers:
Possibly thrombosis this can be serious .. get it checked out by a doctor regardless of cost!
Has your grandmother checked to see if she's got a blood clot or maybe one forming? Does she have issues with circulation in her legs?? Is there a history of high cholestrol in the family?
Stop getting advise from stupid shows. She could have a clot, which could be life threatening. Get her to a doctor now.
Try taking Aspirin (ASA) 2 a day when she eats so it is not hard on her stomach. Cut the sugar intake and try eating one banana a day. Bananas are good for leg pain.
Is there a free clinic available in your area, go there.
Repplying such typical and complicated problems without patient examination is difficult. For exact cause history taking is very essential.
Ok. For relief from pain please try Acupuncture from a skilled person only because problems are more and complex. Most probably he will solve all problems.
She may have something called PAD (perpherial arterial disease). It effects the arteries in the body (mostly the legs). If she has leg pain when walking, but not when shes resting, that called claudication and its a symptom of PAD. Do her feet or lower legs get cold? Are her lower legs or her feet discolored? If she smokes (or ever has), has high blood pressure and cholesterol, those are all contributing to her problems. If she does have any of those symtoms, I don't care if she doesn't have insurance, she needs to see a vascular doctor right away, cuz if she lets it go the worst case scenerio is going to be that she'll loose her feet or everthing from the knee down. Tell your grandma to get on Medicare!
