I got a tooth pulled today, HELP! It hurts like CRAZY!?

it was a few hours ago, my mouths still numb and hurting, its stopped bleeding though.any help?

get a straw, put it in your mouth and plug the other end with your finger. and suck really hard. allot. for 15 to 20 min.

oh yeah.try brushing your teeth once in awhile and you wouldn't have this problem.

Do not do that straw thing! What a smartass! A straw creates suction, do not use one until you are thoroughly healed or you may get dry socket.

Just take it easy, rest and don't eat anything hard. In fact, the longer you can go with eating easy things like mac & cheese, chili (with no stuff in it maybe crackers if there is lots of sauce to make them soft), milkshakes and things like that, the better.

Don't smoke, don't dare drink out of a straw.
Put ice to your mouth or cheek and use the pain medicine the dentist prescribed. Hopefully, he gave you something.
If not, call him and get him to call something in. Meanwhile, use motrin every 4 hours.
Rinse with cool salt water too.

call the doctor who pulled the tooth. usually they can prescribe a combination of pain medications like motrin and vicodin taken together.

Were you given a prescription for pain? If not, I swear by Aleve.take as advised. Beware of air pockets in that area.dont eat or drink any sooner than your dentist advised.

Whatever you do DO NOT USE ANY STRAWS..it can cause you to loose the clot that you formed to stop bleeding..Make sure you take your pain meds on time..Try to get ALOT of rest..Dont drink anything too hot..Eat only very very soft foods for a few days..Make sure you drink alot of water after eating anything.Izaak
