Antibiotic question......?

Question: What is a better antibiotic for these ailments....1) tooth ache/abcess & 2) basic cold/flu symptoms....Tetracycline, amoxicillin, or cephelex??? not sure they are spelled correctly but Im just curious as I know all antibiotics are aimed at different things. Please dont say ask my Dr, Im not due to see him till Oct & Im just curious as this subject came up in conversation and Im wondering whos right??

I am not going to give you an answer because it could be dangerous for your health if I did. I know some of these drugs are available other than at drugstores. The warnings on the containers also say, not for human consumption and that advice should be heeded, as well as, not transferring medicines from one person to another.
