At a low-income clinic in California, you are looking at $65.00 & that does not cover your lab costs or perscription drugs. At a regular Doctor, you must pay &100.00 to get the paperwork started & then it is usually another $50-75 before you get out the door, not including lab work or perscription drugs! They will give you sample drugs sometimes! You are usually looking at $125.00 for a throat culture. By the time you pay for everything, you are out about $250-$300!!! All you really need are anti-biotics & some throat lozenges!
