Sounds like Sciatic Never pain... Sciatica
Suggestions:
1. Go to the doc get a script for Physical Therapy to learn how to stretch your back muscles to open up space so that the nerve doesn't get pinched.
2. Use ice.
3. Ask the doc for steroids to cut down the inflammation of the nerve while you work on exercise.
4. Sleep with a pillow between your legs to realign your spine... side sleeping is the best bet on the non affected leg

i have the same problem its a nerve
why don't you go to the doctor. they could tell you the problem, most likely. this sounds like something my friend had and it had to do with sleeping...i think....just go to the doctor and find out :D
If it's this extreme you need to see a doctor! Sounds like a nerve from your spinal cord down your leg is being pinched or something at the spine. Might be an easy fix, or you might need back surgery. Go! Get to the doc!
its related to your lower back. when you have spasms or lower back pain it can send shooting pains down your rear to your leg. ask your doc what can be done sometimes its just ibuprofen and rest other times it needs more care. also you could see a chiropractor as they are very helpful with this.
It could be sciatica. There is a long nerve that runs the back of your leg and this sounds like that. Then again it could be another form of neuropathy.
Do you or have you ever had back problems or a back injury? In any event why haven't you seen a doctor? Might do you a would of good. Sleep is important. Good luck.
It sounds like sciatica. You need to see a Dr.
It sounds like sciatica. You have a problem in your lower back. A pinched nerve which may be due to several things. See a doctor as soon as possible. He will either take XRays or do an MRI to find the cause. Meanwhile, if you can take ibuprofen (up to 800 Mg. with food, every 8 hours), that will help. Also, put a fat pillow between your knees while lying on your side. This keeps your back & hips in line. Good luck - I have it, too!
You proably have a compressed sciatic nerve.
If you work on your feet, your gluteous muscles (the ones in your butt) are tightening up as you move.
You need to get someone, a husband or a massage therapist, to massage your gluts - GENTLY. The muscles can compress your sciatic nerve, which runs all te way down your leg. Do not allow a person to massage you to where you are squeezing the muscles or flinching. It should just be comfortable pressure, and often in the gluteous region, this is very light pressure. Have your husband or boyfriend make an X on each side of your butt. In the middle, of the X, is there the massage needs to happen, at he gentlest. Try moving from this point and working away, and also using a knuckle or elbow. Remember to keep the pressure at a comfortable level.
Its bst to have a massage therapist do this, of course.
Also try stretching every day, sitting down on the floor, and bringing your right leg over your left, right knee bent, foot flat on the floor and twist to the left with your right elbow on the left side of the right knee. Look as far to the left as you can, behind you if possible. Then, keep yor legs in place, and use the other arm, and twist the other direction. Try to twist your body a little, if that helps. It is important to keep those butt muscles losened up.
This will help to stretch your gluteal muscles, and might help prevent this from happening again, if it is a compressed sciatic nerve.
However, if you dont get any comfort from a profesional massage, whatsoever, then I suggest going to the Dr for some medication to help.
