A hiatus hernia is like a lump of acid (reflux) coming from your gut up your wind pipe causing heart burn. An endoscopy is when they put a camera down your throat to check it out. Hope this helps.

no idea what u r sayin dude
A hiatus hernia is where part of the stomache is pushed through the diaphram. This is a large muscle that seperated the lungs and the chest from the abdomen.Symptoms can be pain and a lot of acid indigestion. Treatment can be with medication. It may help to raise the head of your bed as symptoms are worse if you lie flat.
Surgery also can be considered and today can be done with key hole surgery
good luck
