difference in humidifiers?

Question:
what is the difference for health purposes in cold humidity and warm humidity?
my 6month old son had pneomonia and i initially turned on the warm humidifier thinking this would help his congestion. when i took him to the doctor they told me to do the cool humidifier.
what's the difference in the warm and cold humidity??

Answers:
Doctor is right. Pneumonia is a bacteria - use cool humidity from a humidifier.

"Why?"

COOL humidity comes from a HUMIDIFIER -
It "fans" the water and places tiny droplets of water into the air. Molds, spores, and bacteria do not grow this cool moisture.

WARM humidity comes from a vaporizer. They heat water to its vapor point. After water is vaporized, the water vapors will cool/condense to steam. The warm moisture from water vapors provides bacteria, spores and molds a warm and moist place to grow.

I use my humidifier to cut the static electricity in winter, and to provide moisture in the dry winter and summer air around my tropical plants.

Sorry, I do not know the purpose of a vaporizer.
