Can an AB+ blood type come from two poeple with type o blood?
Question:
Answers:
Genetically impossible. A and B are dominant while O is recessive
Other Answers:
no, acutally it can't.
The only type of kids they can have is type O.
People with blood type O only have the O gene, so that means that the only type of children they can have is O.
?
no ever hear of doing a punnet square
i dont think so....i think two people with O blood do not carry the A or B genes, so they would have children who are also O...people who are type AB have to have parents who are either A, B, or AB in order to be that way.
If both parents are O type, and the child is AB+, I'd say it's time for a DNA test.
If both parents are O type, they can not have an AB baby.
Not sure about this, but did you know that 0+ blood is used for transfusion if the persons blood type is not available? Many people don't realise that 0+ blood is very much in demand because it can cover any blood group in an emergency.
People probably think that they wont give blood ibecause they have the 0+ blood group, because they think the blood bank already have enough from everyone else. Yes it is the most common, but the most used, so people need to get out and give blood, I am 0+ and I do.
NO. See the link below for a chart.
Either the child is adopted or the mother is a cheater.
No, O blood is resessive. People with O blood have 2 O genes = OO. AB blood can come from people that have AA, AB, BB, AO, or OB blood as long as one parent has at least one A and the other has at least a B.
Yes under some circumstances. A small amount of people are born with all three blood markers ABO. It is thought the reason for this is a possible identical twin that did not develope but left its blood imprint on the surviving child. There is a universal code used for typing blood however there are exceptions, my father is AB- my mother is 0+ but he had an O allegen that is dominate therefore none of his children are AB Type blood we are all 0+ like our mother. We inherited both 0 dominate genes. Most general concensus say's it is not common for two 0 parents to have an AB child but it has happened. If you are a young person don't worry about it too much you just may be one of those rare people who have this type ABO blood. If you are really concerned have a DNA test for the ABO allegens present.
I don't think so.
Definitely not.
No. O is recessive. They only have the O gene.
Supposedly not, but I'm 0+ and my parents are AB+/-. Have had genetic testing done and it is all good - somehow.
I did have one doctor telling me because of blood transfusions and my serious ill health and countless medications as a kid that could have changed it but I don't know about that.
