Insurance premiums are based on your zip code, age, and gender. probably due to your life insurance and possibly due to the fact the older you get the more medical attention you may need
they are high for many reasons
1. doctors get paid alot because of their education and insurance costs
2. Lawyers probably should be number 1on the list
3. some people just get a sniffle and they run to the doctor
Need more information. Are you on medicare? Rich, middle income, poor? If poor, you may need some help in chosing a new plan. Even if you are rich for that matter. Do you have private insurance only?
Go to you local place that helps people 65 and over. You may need some help in the form of advice to better chose which plan and/or plans that you have. Check out Aetena - my Mom's premiums were cut almost in
half when she went with them.
I don't know your medical circumstances, but it's usually good
to call a few different companies.
