One of the children at your child care setting has suddenly started to vomit and has diarrhoea.?

Question:
Describe how you will make sure you are clearing up body fluids so that you or any of the other children and staff don’t become ill?

Answers:
#1- CALL THE CHILDS PARENTS AND TELL THEM THEY TO PICK UP THEIR CHILD AND BRING HIM BACK WITH A DOCTORS RELEASE SAYING HE IS NOT CONTAGIOUS.

#2- AFTER CLEANING UP THE BEST YOU CAN WITH A MOPS OR PAPER TOWEL. I WOULD ALSO SPRAY THE AREA DOWN WITH A BLEACH AND WATER SOLUTION= 1PART BLEACH TO 9 PARTS WATER.

#3- AFTER ALL THE CHILDREN WENT HOME I WOULD WIPE ALL TOY AND FURNITURE THAT THE CHILDREN HAVE CONTACT WITH WITH THE BLEACH SOLUTION OR SOME KIND OF DISINFECTED TO PREVENT THE OTHER CHILDREN FROM GETTING WHAT THIS CHILD HAS.

BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.
gloves, bleach and water solution of 1:7500 in a spray bottle and lots of towels that can later be washed in very hot water. Clean it up, then remove gloves, discard, wash my hands. (paper towels are an option, but must be bagged in plastic separately)
