The aorta comes from the heart and in the lower abdomen splits into 2 common iliac arteries. Each one of these splits into the internal iliac artery (for the pelvis and buttocks) and the external iliac artery which continues into the groin and changes name to the common femoral artery.
In short you have a tremendous amount of blood flow confined to a narrow place and the heat gets carried off there.
