It sometimes takes about a year for symptoms to begin to improve. You probably should get your blood drawn and have the TSH level checked. That will tell your doctor if your meds need to be increased. You should have the TSH level checked approx. every 3 months. I have this same condition and started treatment about 3 years ago and just recently have had my meds leveled off. So don't get discouraged. Ask your doc if he'll order bloodwork for the TSH level and see what's going on. You don't want to do nothing.it can be dangerous. If they won't give you an order for the bloodwork, maybe find another endocrinologist. Just be patient though.it does take a while for the symptoms to improve.
