I'd see the doc if i was you!

Your GP has had years of training to help him diagnose ailments of all sorts.
What makes you think he can't diagnose yours & that total strangers on the site can?
He knows what he is talking about, If you are still not convinced then see a different doctor.
It sounds like lesions in the spinal cord at the mid or lower thoracic level. Lesions at these thoracic levels are not very common. It is also quite unusual to have such intractible pain from a lesion in or around the spinal cord. From your description it does appear the the pain is not form a local foot problem, nor from compromise of one of the lumbosacral roots.

It may be a good idea to see a Podiatrist who may diagnose it as orthotics.

Have you been on a 'plane recently? - do you sit in the same position/chair for many hours without moving a great deal? - if the answer to either or both of those questions is positive, it could be a DVT (Deep Vein Thombosis). If I am right, this is a very serious condition as it could lead to a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot inside the lung) this will, if not treated cause severe breathing problems - furthermore, if the blood clot reaches the heart - there is very little or nothing the Docors can then do, and you will then be wearing a wooden overcoat. Go back to your GP immediately and get him/her to refer you to hospital for either an ultrasound scan or an MRI scan. Do not leave it!!!!!
I had a burning sensation in my left leg and it goes numb, my GP suggested that it was probable that the problem was coming from my back . Have you had a fall at sometime?
possibly sciatica
Not good-could be spinal trouble there.
See the doc!
I think that a GP has had years of training and the people on yahoo probably have had none so why are you asking our opinion. If you are not happy with the doctor ask for a second opinion or go to a Pharmacist who would refer you to a doctor. What about going private?
I don't think its a DVT because that would probably be in the calf.
I am not a doctor but worked for an orthopedic surgeon for 7 years. It sounds to me like you may have a pinched nerve in your back or possibly your sciatic nerve. How did he get a blood disorder from these symptoms you speak of?
Hi im a orthopaedic plaster technician in the uk,to me it sounds like Sciatica i have suffered with it for about 5 yrs and i get all those symptoms and more,do you have a back ach too when you get these sensations in the right leg ? What sort off pain is the back ache if you have or get one ? I went to my GP for advise he then referred me to the orthopaedic consultant and i got treated for my Sciatica,im on medication now and the pain has eased alot, even if the problem isnt that see another GP you have the rights for a second oppion get the GP to refer you to a back consultant they know what there talking about and will know what the problem is.Good Luck.
