Why is it so embarrasing to vomit in public?

it only embarassing if you throw up anything cheap you have eaten and if the tesco value burgers are recognised

Because it is a bodily function and as a race, we are taught that bodily functions must be performed in private, unless its a Saturday night after midnight in a town centre!

because usually your drunk when you do it and seem to always miss what your aiming for, then you walk around with spew on your face but no one will tell you, then you go to hit on someone and they laugh in your face and tell you you smell and you wonder why and then you go to get a feed at maccas and you get turned away by the night gaurds because you are drunk and dont know it.

I love a good hurl, the bigger the distance the better the spew, my record is 15 feet. projectile vomiting is by far my best drinking game ever. the trick is the moment it hits your throat stand tall and put your head back, disgusting I know but at least I keep my Doc Martens clean.

cos it gross...and peeps stare @ u...aaaand it makes people tut 'n' sigh @ u cos they wonder y the heck ur vomiting and it makes you look like an alcoholic!.....even if u hav a different reason for vomiting!
oh yer and not to mention its mank is cos it's just left there where people can step in it!! ewwwwwwwww or wot?!?

If you haven't done it, then how do you know that it is embarrassing? Or - is it that you are embarrassed for the person that is vomiting? In that case, the question should be 'Why is it so embarrassing to SEE someone vomiting in public?' If that is your true question, then it probably has something to do with who you are with at the time. If you have a new young lady on your arm, you will be embarrassed for her. If you are just with your mates, you'll probably find it funny!

because you can see everything you throw up. and there might be some things you want to hide. like if your coming back from hols in columbia :o)

I've only vomited once in public. I was quite ill at the time. I didn't really feel embarrassed, I just felt very sick. I was on my way to the doctor at the time.

I think I would be embarrassed if I was sick from drinking too much though, as really there is no excuse for drinking to the stage where you get sick.
