Am I claustrophobic?
Question:
Answers:
Registered Nurse here; Hun certainly sounds like you have claustrophobic, nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. I say this because many people are and I want to assure you, that I'm amazed at the insight you have at the tender age of 13. You have diagnosed yourself correctly. Now you need to address the issue with a school counselor, a mental health professional, or your family Physician. The treatment for this type of phobia, is desensitization, therapy, perhaps the use of medication maybe a possibility. It is very important that you face, and address this issue now, for when we don't face phobia's and learn coping mechanisms, they tend to take over our lives, leaving one feeling in fear. But sweetie you are on top of yours, so please make an appointment with one of the professionals above, and get this issue resolved.
Thanks for posting your question, you have also helped many people by doing so, for lots of folks don't know what they have when they feel this way.
I appreciate the opportunity to address your question and best of luck to you.
maybe you are having some kind of panick attack..ask your doctor about this
you may be, but you can overcome chaustrophobia if u try hard
Yes. And you aren't born with it; you can develop it at any time. It also has more than one definition. Another being fear when you can't move freely.
yup this is what u say i hav it and u do hav it c a syc right away so u can get meds
yes that is a sign of claustrophobia.
you're not alone, i too suffer from claustrophobia in restroom toilet stalls. the best advice i gave myself is.... use the handicap stalls (my advice to myself worked). I'm cured and i can now use the regular stalls with confidence.
