How do you prevent the area under the nose to become irritated after blowing it a lot?

Question:
I just hate that feeling of irritation and redness that follows after blowing your nose all day due to a cold.

Answers:
Get some chap stick or blistex and rub it on your finger then rub that finger under your nose.
You could use it directly from the stick but then using it on your lips afterwards would be just gross.
Sometimes creams irritate the area even more but these seem to be sensitive and do the trick.

Other Answers:
use really good tissue....soft, strong, and perhaps with lotion in it....

poorly made tissue can really irritate a nose.......
use Puffs tissue with Aloe or lotion
sneezes again....
myheartisjames is right, soft tissue with lotion is about the only thing oyu can do. There is a product called AYR gel, its just saline gel, but good to put on irritated area to help moisturize and heal it.
Use vaseline under the nose and soft tissues, with lotion, works for me.
APart from the tissue, try putting vaseline under your nose to relieve the dryness and you can also put some Vicks rub at night to help you breath better...Sleep tight..

Use those special tissues with the aloe and lotion in them.
They makes a cooling gel for it that works well. Its made by a nose spray company. Most drug stores have it.
Use tissue with lotion it really helps, and rub a little antibiotic suave on it
I know what you mean, during the winter I get colds all the time!
A good one is called Angel Soft, but that's still not the best. My favorite is Puffs! That's the only kind that works good for me and I get no redness. I hope you try it and it works for you.

Calendula ointment is a natural and safe remedy for this. I actually use it myself!
