My knee is clicking when I walk...?

Question:
I play soccer, and my legs got taken out at the knees twice in a row in my game last night. It didn't start clicking until this morning. It clicks, but only when I walk, and it hurts, but also only when I walk. I can sit cross legged, or stand on it just fine. It only hurts/clicks when I walk. Will it heal on its own or should I go have it checked out tonight?

Answers:
most likely cartilage, you dont need to see a doctor right away, but it would be advisable to see a doctor before it gets worse. I had the same problem about 5 years ago from playing basketball. The clicking and pain went away in a matter of weeks by icing it and taking advil. Dont worry, see the doctor just incase but you will be fine.

Other Answers:
Yes. See the doctor. Clicking is usually indicative of bone rubbing on bone.
Go and have it checked NOW. You're causing it more damage by moving around. You need X-rays and probably a cask to keep your leg in position until it heals.

Sounds like a cartilage issue. You don't want to wait until it heals on its own, if you do, it will become chronic!
Mine too, but it started long ago and mine doesn't hurt it just clicks!
