Can high alcohol content drinks help with a sore throat?
Question:
Answers:
I have experimented with various drinks in an attempt to quell a sore throat in the past; I can say that warm honey-lemon drinks help a LOT, but I also found that they seemed to be more efficacious when I added an ounce of rum or vodka to them. However, it is important that it be warmed; sometimes a small amount of butter can help even more, but I find that doesn't make that much of a difference. The warm honey-lemon-rum combo helped the worst sore throat I ever had, after I had given up on lozenges.
You drink enough you won't care.
