i want to be able to help people in my community in houston, like homeless people, and orphans, any charity that i can help would be great because in honduras that's my mom's country there are a lot of people that die of starvation, and i pray for these people but, i would also like to do something to help. any advice will be great and thank you so much.

Search the Internet for homeless shelters, soup kitchens and other charities located in and around Houston. Call and ask what you need to do to volunteer. Some places may have a process (background check, etc.) while other places will just want you to let them know when you can help. I think you should support your local CASA organization. (Court appointed special advocates for children) You can volunteer your time or give money.
