can you get deseases from public washers and dryers?
Question:
Answers:
Diseases: you can get anything from most surfaces. But if you mean washing your clothes IN them and drying them IN them, not likely. HOT WATER will kill bacteria.
Other Answers:
nope, all you'll get are your clothes cleaned
No.
I don't think so
Maybe if you lick them.
Any reputable laundromat will use hot enough water so that the germs don't survive, and routinely disinfect their machines.
Maybe, but I don't think anything bad will happen. You might want to consider buying your own washer&dryer though for your convenience and safety.
No.
It is not likely. If you was your clothes in hot water it kills the germs. If you are doing laundry at a laundry get a wet wash cloth and maybe wipe the inside of the washer. You should be okay
YES! You can pick up fungal & staff infectious germs & bacteria from the machines & surrounding surfaces in a laundry area. The water just isn't HOT enough in most places to kill bacteria. It is ALWAYS a good idea to add one capfull of bleach to all of your washers. Many people also use alcohol or peroxide in their washers to kill germs. Unfortunately, all you can do with a dryer is to wipe it down with a disenfectant & check it for old gum & candy! You should also wipe the surface of the folding table BEFORE using it!
I would say no. You are using soap (and sometimes bleach) to clean the clothes, and then you are putting them in a very hot dryer that will also kill germs. It also sometimes helps if you use hot water in the washer, but I realize that isn't always good for some kinds of material.
nope. no way this is one way to get rid of germs not get them
Yes, of course. You have no way of knowing what was in the machines. Some diseases have to be autoclaved under very high pressure and temperature. Wash loads that need bleach first to help sanitize the washers.
