When and where can I get the FLU SHOT?

Question:
I haven't had the flu shot before and my Dr. has instructed me to get it. I want to get it early (before they run out of it or I have to wait in a long line). I don't know how to find out when they release it in my area. How can I find out when and where I can get it?

I live in Georgia if this helps.

(No, I cannot get the flu shot from 'this' doctor)

Answers:
Do you have another family doctor..maybe one that treats your husband? Call his office and ask if they have flu shots available.

I've heard that they are having trouble producing the serum this year (heard this on the news last week), because of major changes in the flu bug this year.

So make sure you are getting the shot with this year's serum. Using last year's will not cover you for the new variations that are being found this year.
You need to call your doctor's office and ask them and they can't help you, then you should call your local health department and they should tell you when and where they (flu shots) will be given. I would question my doctor for advising me to get the shot but then not tell me when and where. Does your doctor not give them?
