meh.... I did it but it was too 'calm and peaceful' for me. It is really good for you though, calms yuo down, flexible, better sleep, happier, less joint pain, all that kinda stuff out of yoga. Personally, I found it to be a little boring

You will see physical benefits over time, paticularly with muscle definition, especially in the arms, when it comes to Yoga. Overall though, yoga is more of a feel good thing. I find it really helps me to calm down and relax. If you really get into, it will improve balance, flexibility, etc. Some people also find it's a good spiritual aid. Regardless, it can't hurt to try it out. You can sign up for yoga classes, which are offored now all over the place. I have a preference for yoga videos though. Pick up a few yoga tapes or DVDS, overall they're cheaper than classes, you can do them anytime anywhere, as long as you have a TV, and as long as you're sure to follow them corectly they're just as beneficial.
