My mother uses the prescription medicine Quinine for her cramps. Myself, I've used vitamin B6--one tablet daily--when I've suffered from them. Either one works well.
You might be talking about "Restless Leg Syndrome" and it's aggravating! Here are a few tips. Make sure you are well hydrated; lay off of sodas and junk foods high in salt. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. When your legs cramp, take a warm bath and lightly massage the legs. You might get relief simply by walking around for a few minutes to get the blood circulated. Also, drink orange juice or eat an banana every day for extra potassium. Decreased potassium causes muscles to cramp. Quinine tabs (over the counter) can also help. Good Luck.
