Ween your self off of the flexeril and if you can't sleep try tylenol p.m. IF that doesn't work, see your doctor and they can prescibe a taper medication to get you off the flexeril.
A lot of people, even doctors, are like this. It helps your muscles relax just like it is supposed to do. You need to share this with your doc or nurse. They can give you a schedule to ease off, or if you are truly an insomniac, prescribe the right medication. This is very common so don't feel odd about it. Just call the doc before the prescription runs out and you start having withdrawal problems. Best of luck to you!
Flexeril is a muscle relaxant that is similar to some of the older antidepressants. One of it's side effects is that it may make you sleepy. I doubt that you can get "addicted" to it but I'm not surprised that it helps you sleep.

I would check with your doctor about not being able to sleep well without it, rather than relying on answers from Yahoo Answers. You see, even though that one man said his wife is a nurse and thought you should taper off of the Flexeril on your own, I used to work as a R.N. for over 20 years and I would never advise someone to do that.
